Strategy overview
Long-term and balanced investment
1. We typically invest in the first round of institutional financing in companies with strong international growth potential. At this stage, we achieve the highest risk/return ratio and our team adds the most value.
2. We mitigate and manage risk by building a balanced and diversified portfolio based on several criteria:
» Sectors, number of investments, geographic location, level of maturity and also vintages;
» A rigorous control over the pace of investments and re-financing.
We generally hold a significant stake in companies in which we invest. This is maintained by participating in subsequent rounds until they are either floated on a stock exchange or sold to an industrial partner.
The determination to take or share the lead in the investment process stems from GMIT philosophy as an investor, and reflects the very high commitment of every member of the management team to each project. GMIT had made it a rule to obtain board representation and therefore contributes added value to the company's development and strategy.
